My bags not packed I’m staying in The door is locked TV glows again With some Christmas movie I think his name is Snoopy or maybe it’s Ebenezer Scrooge As it starts to snow I stare at the mistletoe And think this year, it’s only me and you I couldn’t be happier you see To be stuck inside with you The whole world lost its mind but with you I’m resigned To bid them all adieu Though my eyes are closed I start to wake You talk to yourself Making plans for the day As you hum O Tannenbaum I think of Charlie Brown You remind me, we need to get the tree And as you sing Pretty Paper I fumble with the scraper and we make our through frozen scenery I couldn’t be happier you see To be stuck inside with you The whole world lost its mind but with you I’m resigned to bid them all adieu I’m not leaving home I’m not leaving home I’m not leaving home this Christmas This year it seems Will be eternity I’m not leaving home this Christmas [Ripping guitar solo] We watch some Christmas movie I think his name is Snoopy or maybe it’s Ebenezer Scrooge I put the star on the tree You put boxes underneath And think this year, it’s only me and you I’m not leaving home I’m not leaving home I’m not leaving home this Christmas This year it seems Will be eternity I’m not leaving home this Christmas I’m not leaving home I’m not leaving home I’m not leaving home this Christmas This year it seems Has been misery I’m not leaving home this Christmas

about

Recorded during the months of November and December 2020 in my room in Michigan. I've never stepped into the holiday music sphere but for that one time in high school where myself and a couple friends formed a band called 'The Three Kings'. Our meteoric rise to stardom was really only seen in the eyes of our parents. They were proud of us however upon listening to those songs again, there is a 100% chance they weren't that good.

Anyway, these are new songs and I hope they bring a little joy to you this holiday season. There are some standards, a couple new arrangements, and an original track. I'm no Michael Bublé but I did my best. Stay safe and be kind, especially to yourself.

about

Steve Leaf Grand Rapids, Michigan

There is a quiet confidence to the music of Steve Leaf. He has been writing songs for fifteen years now. Some songs about love, some songs about love lost, and others about everything else to cover all the bases. Steve hails from Michigan and cut his teeth in the singer/songwriter scene of Chicago which is to say he usually tries to sneak a Wilco cover into his set. ... more
